THANK YOU FOR for the memories.
For 60 years, the Paul Webb Basketball Team Camp operated with the goal to provide players and coaches a place in the summer to hone their skills and start prepping for the upcoming season.
What we found, though, during that time was something so much more. We found friendship and loyalty with you all—the coaches who spent their time and effort for years coming to our camp.
The relationships my father and I formed with you all became even more important than basketball, and I speak for him and me, when I say thank you for your loyalty and your friendship.
As you know, we have run camps at Randolph Macon College for 25 years. It was and is a school that holds so much of the history and the legacy of my father, and making it the home of camp made so much sense throughout the years.
However, it was brought to our attention that 2025 was the last year Randolph Macon would be available for camp. After communicating and negotiating with the current athletics staff, it became clear that camp was no longer welcome.
While I’m uncertain what the future of Paul Webb Basketball Camp looks like for Virginia’s high school teams, what I am certain of is our appreciation for the decades of memories and friendships. It’s what has made it all worth it.
I hope to stay in touch with you all. My contact information is listed below. Again, thank you for the memories. It was the joy of a lifetime for both me and my father.
Sincerely,
Eddie
